Description

UNINTECH was awarded this two year contract as a prime consultant. The contract consisted of engineering design services for the preparation of PS&E for various roadway and bridge projects in both rural and urban settings within the 12 counties of the San Antonio District. Our engineers were responsible for the preparation of freeway and non-freeway schematics, roadway and bridge design, hydrologic and hydraulic design, traffic signal design, survey and geotechnical data collection necessary to support the design process. UNINTECH designed six bridges under this contract. Our engineers also provided overall project quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for the structures.Surveying services included topographic surveys of each bridge; locates of TxDOT benchmarks; setting construction benchmarks; location of the physical features in construction area; setting utility markers; bridge locates and detailed surveys of the bridge components; surveys of geotechnical boreholes, and survey resolution to fit TxDOT coordinate system (STATE PLANE COORDINATE SYSTEM) and adjusted with surface adjustment factor (SAF).Projects included:

  • Loop 368 at Harry Wurzbach Road
  • IH-10 South Frontage Road over Martinez Creek
  • IH-35 Southbound Mainlanes at Walters Road and North New Braunfels
  • IH-35 over Abandoned SPRR & Frank Street
  • IH-10 Westbound Connector at South Presa Street

    UNINTECH was the prime consultant for this project, which purpose was to improve the existing Bridge 155. The existing one-lane bridge structure spans Gilleland Creek Tributary with an overall bridge length of 140 ft., was replaced to a new two-lane bridge.
