Seeling Channel Phase III

Client: City of San Antonio

Description

The purpose of the Seeling Channel Phase III project, one of the largest projects from the 2017-2022 City of San Antonio Bond, was to widen and deepen Seeling Channel from St. Cloud to Morning Glory. UNINTECH, as the prime consultant on this project, provided their civil and structural engineering and surveying expertise, and managed nine local subconsultants to provide design and construction administration services for this project.

The project included reconstructing and widening Seeling Channel, reconstructing a vehicular bridge at St. Cloud, and reconstructing West Mulberry Avenue and Huisache Avenue to improve local drainage, vehicular and pedestrian access, and safety within the project area.

This project received awards from the Engineering News Record in 2022 for the “TX & LA Water/Environment Award of Merit”, and the American Public Works Association (APWA) Texas Chapter in 2023 for the “Project of the Year for Structures, $5M – $25M”.
